Synchronizing Autonomous Chaotic Systems Using Filters
A system for synchronizing chaotic transmitters and receivers that is less sensitive to channel effects than other known chaotic communication methods. The system employs duplicate transmitter and receiving modules and in addition to the chaotic output a synchronizing signal which occupies a reduced bandwidth. The small bandwidth affords the system a greater resistance to the affects of frequen...
متن کاملBilinear Filters for Uncertain Nonlinear Systems
This paper deals with the robust filtering problem for a class of regionally stable nonlinear systems subject to uncertain parameters belonging to a given polytope. The nonlinear system is represented by differential-algebraic equations where the system matrices are allowed to be rational functions of the state and uncertain parameters. Linear matrix inequality conditions based on a parameter-d...
متن کاملNeural Systems as Nonlinear Filters
Experimental data show that biological synapses behave quite differently from the symbolic synapses in all common artificial neural network models. Biological synapses are dynamic; their "weight" changes on a short timescale by several hundred percent in dependence of the past input to the synapse. In this article we address the question how this inherent synaptic dynamics (which should not be ...
متن کاملBlended particle filters for large-dimensional chaotic dynamical systems.
A major challenge in contemporary data science is the development of statistically accurate particle filters to capture non-Gaussian features in large-dimensional chaotic dynamical systems. Blended particle filters that capture non-Gaussian features in an adaptively evolving low-dimensional subspace through particles interacting with evolving Gaussian statistics on the remaining portion of phas...
متن کاملDevelopment of Nonlinear Lattice-Hammerstein Filters for Gaussian Signals
In this paper, the nonlinear lattice-Hammerstein filter and its properties are derived. It is shown that the error signals are orthogonal to the input signal and also backward errors of different stages are orthogonal to each other. Numerical results confirm all the theoretical properties of the lattice-Hammerstein structure.
